Welcome to our musical family!
At Bright Notes Kids, our mission is to bring music, movement, and pure joy into your child’s routine. We are so incredibly excited to welcome your little one into the circle.
Because we use a unique, ultra-flexible attendance model designed to support busy modern families, please take a few minutes to read through our guidelines. They ensure our classes remain high-quality, safe, and fair for everyone!
🎟️ Enrollment & Pricing Structure
We don’t believe in forcing families into rigid, expensive semester contracts. Instead, we use an active roster system paired with flexible class passes.
1. The Spot Reservation Fee
To hold a regular, dedicated seat in our weekly circle, a $15 non-refundable Spot Reservation Fee must be paid online.
As long as you remain an active, attending member of the class, this spot remains exclusively yours.
The Attendance Policy: If a student misses 4 consecutive classes without communication, we will assume you no longer wish to keep your spot, and it will be opened to our waitlist. To re-enroll later, a new $15 fee must be paid.
2. Payment Options
Once your spot is reserved, you can pay for your actual classes in one of two ways. You can purchase these via our website or in person at class:
Single Class Pass: $20 per class. Best for absolute scheduling freedom.
4-Class Punch Card: $60 total (Brings the cost down to $15/class—saving you $20!).
📌 Important Punch Card Rules:
The Physical Card: Even if you purchase your 4-class pack online, your physical punch card lives at class. I will give it to you at your first session and personally punch it each week you attend.
8-Week Expiration: To keep our attendance records moving, all 4-class punch cards expire exactly 8 weeks from the date of purchase. This builds in a generous 4-week buffer for normal childhood illnesses, busy weeks, or vacations!
Sibling Discounts: We love musical families! Sibling discounts are available automatically at checkout when purchasing multiple punch cards at the same time.
📅 Schedule, Communication, & Class Switching
The 3-Month Calendar
We publish our class calendar in 3-month (quarterly) blocks on our website so you can see upcoming dates and planned venue closures well in advance.
Switching Days
Because our class sizes are strictly capped for safety and quality, you must communicate with me directly before switching your class day (even if it's just a one-time switch from a Tuesday to a Thursday). Single-week switches are granted purely on a space-permitting basis.
Absentee Communication
If your little one wakes up under the weather or you have a family conflict, a quick text or email letting me know you won't make it is deeply appreciated! It helps me tailor my lesson plans and materials for the day.
❤️ The "Mom-to-Mom" Grace Policy
As a mother myself, I completely understand that life happens, little ones get sick, and unexpected emergencies pop up. Please know that this grace flows both ways!
In the rare event that I or my own family experiences an unexpected illness and I have to cancel a class:
I will notify everyone via text and email as early as humanly possible.
Any canceled classes on my end will absolutely not count against your child's attendance streak, nor will they count against your punch card’s 8-week expiration timeline.
🎒 Class Day Tips: Making the Most of Music
To ensure a wonderful experience for every child and parent in the room, please keep these quick tips in mind:
Comfort is Key: Wear clothes that you and your child can easily move, sit, and dance in.
Be Present: The magic of a "Parent-and-Me" style class is your participation! Your child looks to you first. Sing along, do the movements, and mirror the actions—your little one will naturally follow your lead.
Distraction-Free Zone: Please keep phones on silent and tucked away during class (unless taking a quick, non-disruptive photo of your little rockstar!).
Sickness: Out of respect for the other little ones in our circle, please keep your child home if they have had a fever, new developed cough or runny nose within the last 24 hours. We will warmly welcome them back the second they are feeling better!
Thank you for letting us be a part of your child's musical journey. Let’s make some noise!

Currently, our classes are designed for children aged 1 to 5 years.
We are working on expanding our offerings to include infant classes, and older kid classes such as choir soon—stay tuned!

We are located at Sonoma Avenue Church of Christ (2200 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa). Our classroom is on the second floor. Please note that there is no elevator access to this space, and strollers must be parked in the designated ground-floor "Stroller Zone."

No. Bright Notes Kids follows a parent-and-child model. A parent or guardian must remain in the room and be actively engaged for the entire 45-minute session. It’s a wonderful way to bond and model musical joy for your little one!
-
To ensure high-quality, engaging classes, we strictly cap our circle sizes. This one-time, non-refundable fee officially secures your child’s dedicated seat on our active roster. As long as you remain a regularly attending family, that spot belongs entirely to you!
-
We love musical brothers and sisters! Sibling discounts are automatically applied at checkout on our website when you purchase multiple punch cards at the same time.

Our punch card is our most popular option! Instead of paying the $20 single-class rate, buying 4 classes at once brings the price down to $15 per class ($60 total, saving you $20!).
Where is my card? You can pay online or at class, but your physical punch card will be handed to you at your first session. I punch it at the door each week you arrive.
-
Yes! If you aren’t ready to commit to a regular spot, you can purchase a $20 Single Class Drop-In Pass. We open up a limited number of these every week based on room space. You do not need to pay the $15 reservation fee for drop-in passes—just grab an available opening online and come make music!
-
Do-Re-Mi & You: Focuses on music enrichment through singing, movement, and rhythmic exploration.
Grace Notes: Uses the same high-quality musical base curriculum but supplements with Christian songs and faith-based resources.

As a mother myself, I completely understand that unexpected illnesses happen—and it goes both ways! In the rare event that I or my own family experiences an unexpected emergency and I have to cancel a class, I will text and email everyone immediately. Any class canceled on my end will absolutely not count against your child's attendance streak or your punch card's 8-week expiration.

We provide a variety of age-appropriate instruments, including rhythm sticks, shaker eggs, drums, colorful scarves, and more. All instruments are thoroughly sanitized between every class.
-
To keep our little musicians healthy, we ask that you and your child be fever-free and symptom-free for at least 24 hours before attending class.
-
It is perfectly normal for toddlers to explore with their mouths! We keep a dedicated "Mouth Bucket" in the classroom. If an instrument is mouthed, simply drop it in the bucket so it can be deep-cleaned before the next use.
-
We know life gets busy! However, if a student misses 4 consecutive classes without any communication, we will assume you no longer wish to keep your spot and will open it to a family on our waitlist. If you wish to re-enroll later on, the $15 reservation fee will need to be paid again to get back on the roster.

Yes. To keep our attendance tracking accurate, all punch cards expire exactly 8 weeks from the date of purchase. This gives your family a generous 4-week buffer for normal childhood illnesses, planned vacations, or chaotic weeks.

We don't run on rigid semesters. Instead, we publish our calendar in 3-month (quarterly) blocks right here on our website so you can easily see our active dates and any planned venue holiday closures well in advance.

Because class sizes are tightly controlled for safety, you must contact me directly via text or email before switching your day (e.g., swapping a Tuesday attendance for a Thursday attendance). We are happy to accommodate switches if there is open physical space in that week's class!
